Louis J. Saso, 82, of Enfield entered into eternal life on Sunday (October 14, 2012) in the comfort of his home with his loving family at his side. Louis was the beloved husband of 57 years to Jean (Pribula) Saso and son of the late Louis and Margaret (Pike) Saso. He was born on December 7, 1929 in Forest City, PA and had resided in Enfield for the past 56 years. Louis was a graduate of Forest City H. S. he then enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Tanguay Magill Post #80, Enfield and was a member of the AMVETS Post #18 and served as a trustee. He was also a member of St. Martha Church. His greatest passion in life besides his family was fishing. Prior to retiring Louis was employed with American Tool & Machine and Alton Iron Works as a skilled tool maker for many years. Along with his wife Jean he is also survived by his beloved children; Lynn McNutt of Bolton, Diane Bellon & her husband Peter of Enfield and Louis Saso & his wife Kim of Wilbraham, MA, his eight grandchildren; Dan and Tyler McNutt, Erin, Amber & Becky Bellon and Stephen, Louis & Lauren Saso, his two great-grandchildren; Cayden & Stephen of which all were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings; Agnes Maver of Simsbury, Jim Saso of Watervliet, NY and Elsie Tomazic of New Britain and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by a sister; Margaret Stermole. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Friday (October 19, 2012) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service with Fr. Daniel McElhron officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment with military honors will take place on Saturday (October 20, 2012) at 11:30 a.m. in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VITAS Hospice 628 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
