Lourdes B. Gil, 83, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel S. Gil (1993). Lourdes was born on March 11, 1934 in Cuba to the late Edwardo and Emelina (Bulnes) Bellido. She immigrated to the United States in 1961 from Havana, Cuba and resided in Enfield for many years. A loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother whom devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She was a longtime member of Holy Family Church, Enfield. Lourdes is survived by her four loving daughters; Lourdes “Lauri” Barber, Manina Zachary, Millie Bialobrzeski and Miriam Vella & husband Jeff, her beloved grandchildren; David Barber & wife Paige, Lindsey Barber, Jennifer, Taylor & Madison Zachary, Kaitlyn, Michael & Kevin Bialobrzeski, and Adam & Mariah Vella, and her adored great grandson; Wesley Barber. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff at the Suffield House for their excellent care and compassion. Lourdes family will receive friends on Friday May 26, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Enfield. Burial will then take place in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
