Lynda J. Sylvester, 39, of Ellington, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, entered into eternal peace unexpectedly, June 20, 2008, after a courageous battle with Neurological Seizure Disorder. Born May 24, 1969 in Springfield, MA, Lynda was the daughter of Frederick and Jeannine (Coulombe) Sylvester of Enfield. Prior to moving to Ellington three years ago Lynda had resided in Enfield most of her life. A graduate of Enrico Fermi High School, she went on to earn a Medical Assistant Certificate from Porter & Chester Institute. Lynda was employed at Dr. Daniel Callahan's of Rocky Hill where she was greatly appreciated by her colleagues. Besides her parents Frederick and Jeannine, Lynda is survived by her brothers, Allen Sylvester and wife Rosanne, Richard Sylvester and wife Carolann and Dennis Sylvester and wife Pamela all of Enfield; her nieces and nephews, Tara Sylvester, who was her goddaughter, Kevin Sylvester, Matthew Sylvester, who was her godson, Kathleen Peterson and Jennifer Aiken. She is also survived by her special Uncles and Aunt, Robert and Edith Sylvester of East Hartford, Bruno Coulombe of Canada and her cherished pet Cubbie. Lynda will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. Family and friends will gather at St. Martha Church (219 Brainard Rd. Enfield) Thursday June 26, 2008 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in the Hazardville Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
