Marcel "Mike" F. Levesque Obituary

Marcel “Mike” F. Levesque, 81, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday January 11th, 2016 with loved ones at his side in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Cecile M. (Milliard) Levesque. Marcel was born on April 25th, 1934 in Auburn, ME, son of the late Olivier and Emilienne Levesque and resided in Enfield since 1961. Marcel proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, Platoon 146 in South Carolina. He then worked for Western Union as a teletype repair technician for 24 years. He enjoyed vacations with his family then later, cruises with their friends. He loved wood crafting in his shop at home making wall plaques, Christmas ornaments, pins and magnets. Marcel was a member of St. Martha Church, Enfield and a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council #50, Enfield.

Marcel was a loving and devoted father to Annette Levesque of Valrico, FL, Rene Levesque and his wife Sue of Springfield, MA, Leo Levesque and his wife Jayne of Manchester, GA, Monique Levesque of Enfield, Aline Levesque of Enfield and Colette Carroll of Enfield, Beloved grandfather of 9 grandchildren and great grandfather to 8 great grandchildren, and survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Maurice Levesque.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with his family on Wednesday January 13th 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral service for Marcel will be held on Thursday January 14th 2016 with the funeral procession forming at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment with military honors in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in Marcel’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy, Ste. 100 Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
