Margaret A. (Levensalor) Davis, of Enfield entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at Johnson Memorial Medical Ctr., Stafford Springs with loved ones at her side. Margaret was the beloved wife of almost 60 years to Joseph N. Davis. She was born on Jan. 26, 1933 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, daughter of the late Leon and Elza Levensalor. She resided in Enfield for the past 43 years and in Hartford before that. Prior to retiring Margaret did secretarial work for several insurance companies and at Asnuntuck Community College. She was an active volunteer with the recreation program at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare for 30 years and taught art and Bible study, she also played piano, enjoyed painting, arts & crafts, camping and the outdoors, along with creating clothing designs. Besides her husband Joseph, Margaret is also survived by a daughter; Diane Sokol & husband David of Enfield and a son; Stephen Davis of Enfield, her adored and loving grandchildren; Melissa Fay & husband Eric and Jessica Sokol Sullivan & husband Kevin and her great-granddaughter; MacKenzie Fay. She is also survived by her sisters; Verna Thornton of FL and Shirley Warren of ME and her brother; Lawrence Levensalor of ME, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother; Thomas Levensalor. Margaret’s family would especially like to thank the staff at Parkway Pavilion and Johnson Memorial Medical Ctr., along with Dr. Lewis Levenson and Dr. Lawrence Glaubiger for the exceptional care and support. Friends may gather with Margaret’s family during calling hours on Monday July 15, 2013 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by the Funeral Service with Rev. David B. Williams officiating. Interment will then take place in the Hazardville Cemetery Enfield. Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Parkway Pavilion Resident Council Fund, 1157 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
