Margaret (Powers) Bass

Margaret Ann (Powers) Bass, entered into eternal life peacefully surrounded by her three children on Saturday (January 15, 2011) at the CT Hospice in Branford, CT. She was born on December 25, 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of James F. Powers and the late Mary (Pacheco) Powers and had resided in Enfield for many years and Windsor Locks for the past year. Margaret loved music, dancing and playing guitar, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a member with Friends of Bill W. Besides her father, Margaret is survived by her loving children; Steven Wollschlager of Manchester, NH, Kelly Lesoveck of Norwalk, CT and Heather Wollschlager of East Haddam, CT, her six beloved grandchildren; Jeremy, Jared, Brandon, Melanie, Josh and Allyson. She is also survived by her siblings; James Powers of San Diego, CA, Rosemary Donovan (Greg) of Vernon, CT, Ralph Powers (Ginny) of Enfield and Maryjo Lessard (Kevin) also of Enfield, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a special friend John Walker. Besides her mother she was recently predeceased by her nephew & godson Timothy “Tito” Lessard. Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Wednesday (January 19) from 3 to 7 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral Service will start on Thursday (January 20) at 9:15am from the funeral home to St. Bernard’s Church for a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
