Marie Pearl Gamache Obituary

Marie Pearl Gamache, of Enfield entered into eternal life at the age of 87 on Christmas Day (Dec. 25, 2010), surrounded by her loving family, at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Ctr., Hartford. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late William A. Gamache who passed in October, 2009 and daughter of the late Emile and Alice (Croteau) Gamache. Marie was born on May 5, 1923 in Manchester, NH and had resided in Enfield for the past 63 years and in Somers since August, 2010. She was a graduate of Windham High School. Prior to her retirement in 1982 Marie was employed with Standayne in Windsor for many years and then for Olympia Sales as a proof reader for several years. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, trips to the casinos, cooking, knitting, playing cards and was an avid bowler for over 35 years. Marie was a member of the American Bowling Association (WIBC). Her greatest joy in life was spending time with all of her grandchildren. Marie leaves many fond memories to be cherished by her beloved family. She was a loving mother to her three children; Steven Gamache and his wife Shirley of Stafford Springs, Robin Gagnon and her husband James of Windsor Locks and Raven Reid and her husband Edward, Jr. of Enfield, beloved grandmother to Kerri Hall, Joel Gamache, Michael Gagnon, Michelle Gagnon, Dallas Reid and Ashley Reid and loving great grandmother to Landon and Chase Hall, Dalton, Wade and Shayla Gamache and Karissa Mori. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and two sisters-in-law Pauline Gamache and Doris Gamache. She was also predeceased by two brothers Maurice and Roger Gamache. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Wednesday (Dec. 29, 2010) from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Dec. 30, 2010) at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. John Weaver officiating interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield.
