Marion O'Regan Obituary

Marion B. (Ballem) O’Regan of Enfield entered into eternal life at the age of 80 on Saturday May 28, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Evergreen Healthcare, Stafford Springs. She was the beloved wife of William G. O’Regan for 54 years and daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (McIntyre) Ballem. She was born on March 12, 1931 in Boston MA and resided in Enfield for the past 45 years. Marion was a well known crossing guard at Weymouth and Steele Roads in Enfield for over thirty three years, which she loved very much. She was an avid bowler for many years and enjoyed bingo nights, Marion was a parishioner of Holy Family Church and a member of the Women’s Guild, she also taught CCD there for many years. Besides her beloved husband William, she is survived by her loving children, Doreen Cross and her husband Larry of Agawam MA, William O’Regan, Jr. and his wife LuAnn of Somers, Diane Pfeifer and husband Kurt of Somers, Richard O’Regan and his wife Kimberly of Burlington and Robert O’Regan and his wife Margaret of Sandwich, MA also her eleven beloved grandchildren, Richard, Valerie & Brittany Cross, Melanie & Tiffany O’Regan, Brandon & Heidi Pfeifer, Lauren, Morgan & Patrick O’Regan and Joseph O’Regan, her two sisters, Dorothy Bunker of ME and Florence Schisler of MA, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rita Melia and Irene Brayson. The O’Regan family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Evergreen Healthcare facility for their compassion and dedicated care. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday (June 2, 2011) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Friday, (June 3, 2011) with the funeral procession forming at 10:30 AM from the funeral home to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road Enfield for a 11:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam MA. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor choice.
