Mary Wojnar Obituary

Mary C. Wojnar, of Enfield, entered into eternal life, on Wednesday (March 26, 2014) at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. She was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield on February 21, 1918, the daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Bachurz) Wojnar. She was also predeceased by her sister, Stella R. Wojnar and brother, Joseph H. Wojnar. She had resided in Enfield until recently, when she moved to Canada to be with her niece and nephew, Maria and Marek Apriasz. Mary was employed by the Department of State in Washington and was on the staff of the Secretary of State and the Counselor of the Department of State. She also served on the staff of the Preparatory Commission of the United Nations in London and after returning to Washington and the Department of State served on staffs in London, Berlin, Moscow and Paris. Mary was also employed by the Hartford Times Editorial Department and Office of Public Information at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Funeral services for Mary were private at the convenience of her family.
