Mary Ann (Ceruzzi) Higley, of Enfield passed from her earthly journey to eternal life at the age of 69 in the comfort of her home on Sunday (June 5, 2011). Mary Ann was the beloved wife of the late Frank H. Higley, II for 40 years and daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Santa Mauro) Ceruzzi and had resided in Enfield for 45 years and in Wallingford before that. Prior to retiring in 2003 Mary Ann was employed by Saint Joseph College’s Graduate Office and at the Greater Enfield ARC. She loved playing cards with the Thursday night group, reading, being out in the sun and she always had kind words for everyone, a member of the Red Hat Society, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. Mary Ann was the loving mother to Frank Higley III and his wife Brenda of Southington, Mark Higley and his wife Mary of Wilmington, NC and Steven Higley of Enfield, grandmother to six beloved grandchildren, Emma, Frankie, Andy, Kaila, Hannah and Dylan and her grand-dog “Bella”. She is also survived by her brother Peter Ceruzzi of St. Petersburg, FL along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Thursday (June 9, 2011) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Friday (June 10, 2011) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Martha Church 214 Brainard Rd. Enfield, CT. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery. Enfield.
