Mary Ann (Casamassa) Bellafronte, of Enfield, entered into eternal life at the age of 71 with her loving family at her side, on Wednesday (July 6, 2011) at Johnson Memorial Medical Ctr., Stafford. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno W. Bellafronte and daughter of the late John and Carmela (Zaccaro) Casamassa. Mary was born on August 18, 1939 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and was a lifelong resident of Enfield where she shared her home with her daughter. She was a graduate of Enfield High School. Mary was employed with Olympia Sales, Enfield for 16 years and with Hamilton Standard for 10 years. Mary was most proud of her Italian heritage and preserved the memories of the past generations by instilling traditions, love of cooking, baking and gathering with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and supported their endeavors. She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication and selflessness She also enjoyed knitting and vacations especially to Disney, Mary was a member of the Mount Carmel Society’s Women’s Auxiliary, a devout catholic who was always praying the rosary and a communicant of St. Patrick Church. Mary was the loving and devoted mother to Melina Lajoie and husband Kevin of Enfield and Anthony Bellafronte and wife Michele also of Enfield, beloved grandmother to Marina, Rachele, Joseph & Joshua Lajoie and John & Jacob Bellafronte. She was a loving sister to Teresa Tryzna of Rocky Hill and sister-in-law to Eleanor Cassamasse of Longmeadow, MA and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers Vincent and Angelo Casamassa and sister Florence Tracy. Relatives and friends may gather with Mary’s family during calling hours on Friday (July 8, 2011) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (July 9, 2011) with the procession forming at 9:00 am at the funeral home to St. Patrick Church for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Mary’s life Committal services will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society Centralized Memorial Processing Center 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701. “Grief is for a time – remembrance & love have no end”.
