Mary "Katie" Colton

Mary “Katie” C. (Noto) Colton, of Enfield, went on to eternal life, on Monday July 10, 2017 from the Suffield House. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence G. Colton. Mary was born on May 4, 1918 in the Thompsonville Section of Enfield to the late Luigi and Francesca (Liquori) Noto and had resided in Enfield all her life. Katie was employed with and retired from Hamilton Standard, Windsor Locks after over 35 years of service. She also was the cook at St. Patrick’s Rectory for 25 plus years. Katie was an avid fan of the UCONN Women’s Huskies Basketball team, loved to crochet and tat and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Katie is survived by her two loving daughters; Barbara Cormier & husband Robert of Enfield and Kathleen Reiver & husband Jerry of Grayson, GA, her beloved grandchildren; Robin Cormier of Enfield, Michelle Cormier of Enfield, Shane Reiver of NC and Wayne Reiver of GA and great-grandchildren; Katelyn Reiver, Cathryne Tronsky of Enfield and MacKenzie Reiver, along with many other nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings; John Noto, Michael “Angelo” Noto, Thomas Noto, Anthony “Nino” Noto, Joseph “Red” Noto, Rose Carville, and Santina Curcio. Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Thursday July 13, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral services will take place on Friday July 14, 2017 with the procession forming at 11:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s King Sr. Cemetery Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Church 64 Pearl St. Enfield, CT.
