Mary "Marybeth" Donahue

Mary E. “Marybeth” Donahue, of Enfield passed from her earthly journey at the age of 65, to be reunited with loved ones in eternal life, on Holy Thursday (April 5, 2012) at her home. She was born on Dec. 10, 1946 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, the daughter of the late George J. and Margaret (Fahey) Donahue. Marybeth was a graduate of Enfield H. S. and a lifelong resident of Enfield. Prior to retiring she was employed with Hallmark Cards, Inc., in Enfield for over 25 years and then was the loving and compassionate caregiver for her parents. Marybeth shared the love of flowers and painting classes with her mom and with that talent painted several prints with watercolors. She was a member of the Hallmark Retirees and 25 year Club and longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church. She is survived by her beloved brother Dr. George M. Donahue of Enfield; her loving nieces and nephews; Melissa M. Donahue, Theresa Ames and her husband Mike, Sean M. Donahue and Brendan Donahue and great-nephew Kaiden M. Ames, along with her dear friends Marie Donahue, Jane Campbell and Kathleen Whalen. Marybeth is also survived by her aunts Edna (Fahey) Broderick and Marion (Fahey) Cunningham and many cousins and numerous other friends. Her family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Monday (April 9, 2012) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church. Interment will then take place in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery both in Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Office of Catholic Radio & Television, WJMJ-FM, 15 Peach Orchard Rd. Prospect, CT 06712.
