Merritt Moger Obituary

Merritt “Moe” William Moger, 84 of Enfield entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2010 in the comfort of his home. Moe was born and raised in Milford, CT. He served in the Merchant Marines during WW II and returned to Milford to live until 1991 when he retired and moved to Glenwood Springs, CO. There he was employed by Mountain Valley Development Services. He was involved and volunteer for many years with the Special Olympics through Mountain Valley. He was proud to be the Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge # 2282 in Glenwood Springs. He was also an avid square dancer and bowler. Moe is survived by his daughters, Jane Grigsby and her husband David of Enfield, CT, Colleen Ray and her husband Glen of Centerville, TN, Susan Militariu of Southington, CT and Donna Tye and her husband Richard of Woodbury, CT, his sister-in-law Roma Moger of Milford, CT, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Florence (Patton) Moger, two brothers and a sister. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private at the convenience of his family. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice 111 Founders Plaza Ste. 200 East Hartford, CT 06108.
