Michael D. Osip, Sr. 57, of Enfield passed away Thursday November 12, 2009 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs. Michael was born on May 4, 1952 in Hartford, CT son of the late Louis J. and Mary (Besaw) Osip and had resided in Enfield for many years. He was a graduate of East Hartford High School Class of 1970. Mike was employed for the past 24 years with the Town of Enfield Highway Dept. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing cards and fishing. He was a member of the former Enfield Grey's Club.
He is survived by two sons, Michael E. Osip of Somers and Michael D. Osip, II of Enfield, two daughters, Ashley Osip of FL and Linda Criscitelli of Enfield, a grandchild, Mykah. He is also survived by a brother Louis Osip of CA, two sisters, Rosemary Osip of CA and Toni Sullivan of Windsor Locks along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was predeceased by a brother Jim Osip. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Thursday November 19, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association 1 Union St., Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
