Muriel C. Trinque

Enfield - Muriel C. (Rivet) Trinque, 88, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. The daughter of the late Henry and Alma (Rondeau) Rivet she was born and raised in Oakland, Rhode Island. Muriel settled in Enfield in 1955 with her late husband Pierre R. Trinque (deceased 2006) to work and raise their family. Muriel was a communicant of St. Martha's Church, a member of the Women's Club of Enfield and a retired clerk for the former Bob's Store, Inc. She enjoyed baking goodies, crocheting afghans, working puzzles and going to bingo with family and friends. Muriel brought joy and happiness to everyone she met with her gentle ways and bright smile. She leaves a son Pierre G. Trinque and his wife Dianne (Gabriel) Trinque of Marana, AZ, a daughter Susan M. Carllo of Enfield, one brother Roland Rivet of TN, three sisters, Marie T. Rivet of Pascoag, RI, Lucille Ducharme of Pascoag, RI, Delia Soucy of Lincoln, RI, a sister-in-law, Anna (Trinque) Sinnott of Harrisville, RI, four grandchildren, Frank Carllo, Jr. and his wife Theresa, Roger Carllo and his wife Carrie, Brian Carllo and his wife Kristin, and Michelle (Trinque) Simpson and her husband Joshua. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Lauren Carllo, Roger Carllo, Jr., Colin Carllo, Anna Carllo and Abby Carllo and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Frank Carllo, two brothers, Robert Rivet and Henry Rivet and five sisters, Anita Jarvis, Claire Dominique, Rose Morris, Cecile Plante and Eva Soucy. The family would like to thank Dr. Darren O'Neill and the staff of Trinity Health of New England Home and Hospice Care for the excellent care that was provided for Muriel in her final weeks with us. Muriel's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT from 8:00 - 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield, CT. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Martha Church, 214 Brainard Road, Enfield, CT or the American Cancer Society. Social distancing protocols and the use of face masks will be required for all facets of the funeral service.
