Nancy (Carrieri) Brissette, of Enfield, entered into eternal life at the age of 76 on Thursday (Jan. 26, 2012) peacefully in the comfort of her home. She was the widow of Richard L. Brissette. Nancy was born on October 3, 1935 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Raffaele and Carmela (Albano) Carrieri and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Enfield High School. Her last employment before retiring was with Home & Community Health Services, Inc., prior to that she was employed with Pitney Bowes and Hallmark Cards Inc. Nancy was an honorary member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Women’s Auxiliary. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, interior decorating, crossword puzzles, but her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her beloved son Brian J. Brissette of Enfield, her two loving grandchildren Scott Raffaele and Kalli Anne Brissette. Her beloved siblings Fedeli Carrieri of Suffield, Nicholas Carrieri of Somers, Phyllis Rookey and Rita Skizewski both of Enfield along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and her Uncle Lucien Albano, Jr. of Enfield. Besides her husband and parents Nancy was also predeceased by her aunts Amelia Albano, Josephine Caltigarone, Theresa Bonito and her husband Vincent. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday (Jan. 30, 2012) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Tuesday (Jan. 31,) at 9 a.m. to St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 3704 Memphis, TN 38173-3704.
