Palma Constance Bogoslofski of Enfield entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 5, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Carrie (Bruno) Mancini, born July 15, 1921, in Saconville, MA and later moved to Thompsonville where she lived for over 67 years until she moved to Somersville three years ago. Palma graduated from Enfield High School, Class of 1939. She and her husband John owned and operated John's Variety Store in Thompsonville from 1962 to 1972. Plama was also employed for many years with Hallmark Cards and owned and operated Denny's Restaurant on Somers. She was the family caregiver looking after her late husband and mother when they took ill. She also cared for numerous grandchildren for many years.
She is survived by a son, Dennis J. Bogoslofski, and his wife Francesca, of Somers; three beloved grandchildren, Pamela Gillespie of Broad Brook, Brianna James of Canton, and Ian Bogoslofski of Somers; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Gillespie, Preston Beaulieu, Taylor James and Payton James; two nieces, Diane Remetta of Clinton, Debbie Lajoie of Florida; and a nephew, Steven Moores of Somers. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rita Mancini and Mary Moores; brother, Paul Mancini; and grandson, Matthew Andrews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with her family during calling hours on Friday, January 8, 2010, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 9, at St. Patrick Church, Enfield, followed by internment in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
