Paul Farrell

Paul J. Farrell, 78, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Monday Sept. 12, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Joan (Bartlett) Farrell. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Waterbury, CT, to the late Herbert and Ann (Russell) Farrell. He had resided in Enfield for the past 39 years and in Thomaston, CT before that. Paul served his country honorable with the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement in 2004, he was employed with Pratt & Whitney for 40 years. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, target shooting and long walks in the woods, Paul was an avid LA Dodgers and UCONN Huskies Women’s Basketball fan. Paul is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Mark and Robin Fisher Farrell of Suffield, along with two brothers; John Farrell of Medford, MA and Jim Farrell of Meriden, two sisters; Sylvia Barbati of Bristol and Margaret MacDonald of New Hartford and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two brothers; Herb and Pete Farrell. His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday Sept. 15, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday Sept. `16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Anthony Cicero and Les O’Dell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
