Paul W. Mathieu

Paul William Mathieu, of Manchester, CT died peacefully on December 1, 2015. Paul was born in Turners Fall, MA on May 29, 1930 to the late George and Mary (Baxa) Mathieu. He graduated from Turners Fall High School in 1948, then served in the U.S. Army in Korea for two years when he was honorably discharged. He lived in Enfield, CT for many years. He worked for The Hartford Steel Ball Company & Pratt & Whitney aircraft before working for 25 years at J.M. Ney Company in Bloomfield, CT. Most recently, he was the property manager at Arapahoe Self Storage in Boulder, CO, retiring in 1989. He was a communicant member of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow, MA. <br>Paul was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Beverly, a son, Mark, three brothers, George Robert and Raymond and his sister-in-law Mary Bertrand. He leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Lynne & Russell Miller of Enfield, CT, his son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Janice Mathieu of Granby, MA. He also leaves two grandsons, Todd Falkowski and Kyle & his wife, Oriana Falkowski, and one granddaughter, Stacie Mathieu, and four great-grandchildren, Diana, Gabrielle, Caleb & Benjamin. He also leaves his brother, Charles of Agawam, MA, sister-in-law, Mary Galligan Mathieu of Milford, DE, and brother-in-law, Richard & his wife, June Paquette of Boulder, CO and many nieces and nephews.<br>Calling hours will be Friday, December 4, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm. The burial will be private in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or to St. Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082-4925. <br>
