Paul Sevigny

Paul G. Sevigny, 76, of Enfield, beloved husband of the late Lucille Sevigny, entered into eternal life on Sunday (May 4, 2008) at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Paul was born on February 28, 1932 in Hartford, CT son of the late Romeo and Rose (Durette) Sevigny and had resided in Enfield for over 40 years. He was raised and educated in Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. Paul served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married his beloved wife, Lucille Pellerin on May 19, 1956 and celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing on Sept. 11, 2006. Prior to his retirement in 1994 Paul was employed with Stanadyne Corp., Windsor for 42 years. He was a member of Holy Family Church, An honorary lifetime member of the Washington Irving Council 50 Knights of Columbus, Enfield, also the Rev. William P. Kilcoyne Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and its color guard. He enjoyed a good joke and had a special talent for making people laugh. Paul is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law; Peggy and Don Army of Enfield, his three beloved grandchildren, Steven, Kate and Daniel whom he loved dearly and he was at his happiest when he was with them. He is also survived by his siblings; Rene Sevigny and his wife, Janet of Hartford, Romeo Sevigny and his wife, Pauline of Windsor Locks, Daniel Sevigny and his wife, Lee of South Windsor, Irene Lajeunesse and her husband, Robert of Vernon, Lucille Soovajian of Windsor Locks and two sisters-in-law, Irene Sevigny of W. Hartford and Lily Sevigny of Hartford, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Lucille he was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Normand Sevigny and a sister, Anita Sevigny. Paul's family would especially like to thank the staff of Country Estates in Agawam, MA for the devoted care and attention given to Paul during his time there. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Paul's life will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 11:00am in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield, followed by interment in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield. Paul's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning prior to the Mass from 9:00 – 10:30 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104-2396.
