Peter Alaimo

Peter “Dane” A. Alaimo, 54, of Enfield, died peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2011, at his residence after a brief illness. Peter was born in Enfield on February 8, 1957; he was the son of Charles B. Alaimo and the late M. Eugeina (Himes) Alaimo. He has been a lifelong resident of Enfield and was a self-employed carpenter. Dane received his Bachelor of Arts degree from American International College in Springfield. He is survived by his son, Charles M. Alaimo of Windsor Locks; his father, Charles B. Alaimo of Enfield; three brothers, Benjamin Alaimo of Enfield, Michael Alaimo and his wife, Betsy of Enfield, and Christopher Alaimo of Somers; two sisters, Judeth Alaimo of Somers and Elizabeth Alaimo of Enfield, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother M. Eugeina, and his sister, Veronica Smith. Dane’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to: March of Dimes, Attention: DRFR, 1275 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
