Raymond John DeVenero

BROAD BROOK – Raymond J. DeVenero, 60, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Springfield, son of the late John and Eileen (McCluskey) DeVenero, he grew up in Enfield and was a 1978 graduate of Enrico Fermi High School and moved to Broad Brook in 2010. Raymond was a truck driver for area independent contractors. He was a former member of the Enfield Knights of Columbus and an avid Red Sox and New York Giants fan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Constance E. DeVenero in 2015. He leaves his wife, Darlene F. (Howe) DeVenero, a brother, Joseph C. DeVenero of North Carolina, a sister, Johnna C. DeVenero and her husband, Marcel Huguenin of Stafford Springs, a niece, Nicole Fissette of Stafford Springs, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10am at St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, 1558 Enfield Street. Calling hours are Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road from 4-7pm.
