Raymond H. Woodard, 93 of Somers and formerly of Citrus Springs, FL, passed away Thursday (Feb. 10, 2011). Raymond was born on Oct. 18, 1917 in New Milford, CT son of the late Lenard and Edith Woodard. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the late 1930’s. Raymond lived in East Windsor where he built his own home and worked as a steel fabricator in the construction industry. In 1988 he moved to Citrus Springs, FL and where he lived until 2009, moving back to CT due to failing health. Raymond had a great sense of humor and loved to square dance. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Florence and Clyde Hurley of Somers and three grandchildren Jeanette Hurley, Carolyn Guyette and Wayne Hurley, along with three great grandchildren.
