Rita Rhodes

Rita M. (Morin) Rhodes, 78, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2014) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Charles “Chic” W. Rhodes. She was born in Springfield, MA on May 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvena (Johnerow) Morin and resided in Enfield for many years. Rita was employed by the Town of Enfield as a crossing guard. She was a member of Holy Family Church and an avid UCONN Huskies Women’s Basketball. Rita is survived by her children; Mark Rhodes (Diana) of Chicopee, MA, Tom Rhodes (Lynda) of Enfield, Jay Rhodes (Sharon) of Enfield, Curt Rhodes of Manchester and daughter-in-law Tina Rhodes of Enfield, her 11grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son David Rhodes and granddaughter Katie Ann Rhodes. Her family will receive friends on Friday (Nov. 14, 2014) during calling hours from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service with Rev. Robert Sorozan officiating at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. in Enfield. Burial will be on Saturday (Nov. 15, 2014) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
