Robert B. Barry, 80, of Enfield, the beloved husband of Nancy (Doiron) Barry, entered into eternal life on Saturday February 23, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. He was born on Sept. 24, 1927 in Lewiston, Maine a son of the late Thomas J. and Honora (Burns) Barry and resided in Enfield for the past 52 years. He attended Trinity College and received his master's degree from the University of Hartford. <br>Prior to his retirement in 1994 Bob was employed by the East Granby Board of Education where he taught for 40 years and coached JV soccer and basketball. Bob served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an avid golfer and a member of Holy Family Church, Enfield. Besides his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy he is survived by his loving family, a son, Thomas Barry and his wife, Karlene of Enfield, a son, Daniel Barry of Enfield, a daughter, Deborah Holeman and her husband, Donald of Enfield, a daughter, Kathleen Schwartz and her husband, Jeffrey of Twinsburg, OH, a daughter, Patricia Kelly and her husband, Michael of Fort Myers, FL, his nine beloved grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Richard Barry of Punta Gorda, FL and Jack Barry of West Hartford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Goodwin and Dorothy Shuler. Funeral services in celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday February 27, 2008 with the procession forming at 9am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to Holy Family Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am followed by burial with military honors in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Robert's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday February 26, from 4 to 7pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor/St. Joseph's Residence 1365 Enfield Street Enfield, CT 06082<br>
