Robert “Bob” McGrath, 91, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest, on Thursday (Jan. 29, 2015) in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to the late Elaine R. (Hamm) McGrath. Robert was born on November 27, 1923 in Springfield, MA, son of the late William and Isabella (Mackey) McGrath. Bob had resided in Enfield for the past 46 years and in Springfield, MA before that. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. Prior to retiring Bob was employed with Blake Equipment Co., Bloomfield and Southern Auto Auction for 20years. Robert is survived by his children; Nancy S. Roy & husband Gary R. of Enfield, and Carole J. McGrath of Enfield, his five grandchildren; Jessica Calaci, Megan Provencher, Rebecca Frazier, Sara Thompson, and Laura Thompson and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Robert A. McGrath and a daughter Linda A.Thompson. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
