Russell Maggio

Russell S. Maggio 87, of Enfield, beloved husband of 52 years to Dorothy (Dunse) Maggio entered into Eternal Life on Friday September 23, 2005 at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, Enfield. He was born in Fredonia, NY, son of the late Bert and Nina (Barbarino) Maggio. Russell had resided in Enfield for the past 55 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II having served as a Tech Sgt in the Asian Conflict while stationed in Burma, India. Russell was employed by the former Smyth Dairy Farm for 20 years, and later for Guida Diary of New Britian before retiring in 1984. He was a lifetime member of the Tanguay MaGill Post 80 American Legion Enfield, member of C.B.I. (China Burma India) WW II Veterans of Vernon, CT, also a member of St. Adalbert's Church, Enfield.<br>Besides his wife, Dorothy, Russell is survived by his beloved family, three daughters, Bonnielea Stebbins, Judi Jaskolka & husband, Paul, and Lori Serrano & husband, Nelson, a son, Russell Maggio & fiancee, Darlene, eight grandchildren, Danielle, Nate, Barb & Adam Stebbins, Russell, Christina & Barrett Maggio, Luis, Anthony & Joel Serrano and two great grandsons, Derek Stebbins and Jesse Fisher, he was predeceased by a son, Thomas Murphy and is survived by his wife, Josie Murphy & eight special grandchildren of Brocton, NY, he is also survived by four cherished brothers, Anthony, Samuel, Larry, and James, and his sister, Mary, and his Godchild, Annette Bollman along with many nieces and nephews. <br>Funeral services in celebration of Russell's life will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2005 at 9am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Adalbert's Church 90 Alden Ave., Enfield. Interment with military honors will take place in St. Thomas Cemetery W. Springfield, MA. Russell's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday September 26, 2005 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in his name may be made to Parkway Pavilion Reflections Unit 1157 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.<br>
