Salvatore "Sam" Mancuso

Salvatore “Sam” Mancuso, 76 of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday (Nov. 12, 2014) in the comfort of his home. Salvatore was born on Nov. 19, 1937 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, a son of the late Rosario and Lilly (Vassallo) Mancuso and was a lifelong resident. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement Sam was employed as a Regional Manager with the Hartford Courant after over 20 years of service. Sam is survived by his loving daughter Lisa Meserve & husband Douglas, of Chicopee, MA, two beloved grandsons Drew & Bryan Meserve, his siblings; Sally Kennedy, Ann Colson, Rose Cormier & husband William, Lillian Fitzgerald & husband Robert, Arlene Corriveau and Jean Cienaksi & husband Walter, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two sisters; Marie Purdy & Grace Mancuso and a brother Jack Mancuso. Per Sam’s request funeral services will be private with burial in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery in Enfield. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, CT is assisting his family with arrangements.
