Scott Smith, Sr.

Scott A. Smith, Sr., 49, of Enfield, passed into eternal rest on Wed. June 1, 2016 at Baystate Medical Ctr., Springfield, MA. He was born on July 2, 1966 in Stafford, CT. Scott was worked as a welder for 30 years, his most recent employment was with CAMM Metals, East Windsor. He enjoyed camping, boating, cook outs, long bike rides, fishing and building things. He was always busy doing something, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family & friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Scott is survived by his loving wife Frances (Wilcox) Smith, his three children; Scott A. Smith, Jr & wife Julie, Andrew Smith & fiancée Diana Blount and Amanda Wilcox, his parents; Joseph, Jr. and Annette (Lucia) Smith, his brother; Joseph Smith, III & wife Jodie, nieces and nephews; Alicia Wilcox, Samantha Smith, Taylor Smith, Joseph Swart, Jr. Andrew Swart, and Holly Swart, along with his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Ray & Brenda West, Joseph &Linda Swart, Mildred Knott, and Christopher & Dawn Wilcox, Jr. Scott’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday June 5, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be Monday June 6, 2016 with the procession forming at 12:00 p.m. to St. Bernard Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield.
