Scott P. Vining, passed from his earthly journey at the age of 56, on Tuesday Oct. 10, 2017 with loved ones at his side. He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Janet (Jones) Vining. Scott was born on October 18, 1960 in Springfield, MA to Sandra (Hurlburt) Vining and the late Scott M. Vining, Jr. and had resided in Stafford Springs for the past four years, also Broad Brook and Enfield before that. He was a graduate of Enrico Fermi H.S. Enfield Class of 1978. Scott was founder and owner of Stafford Pool LLC, of which he turned over to his son, Andrew. He was a former member of the Suffield Photo Club. Having had a passion for photography and nature, Scott’s religion was nature as he saw it through the lens of his camera. He also enjoyed skydiving, hiking and traveling. In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his three children; Michelle Lenares & husband Joey of Coventry, CT, Andrew Vining & fiancée Carolanne Pinto of Lebanon, CT and Paul Vining of Enfield, his two cherished grandchildren; Kodi and Linkin Vining, his mother Sandra Vining of Enfield and siblings Jim Vining & wife Anne and Todd Vining & wife Linda all of Enfield, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, his sister-in-law Linda Champeau & husband Lou of Milford, CT and friends. Besides his father Scott M. Vining he was also predeceased by his brother Robert Vining. His family would especially like to thank Ann Marie and Robin at the Johnson Memorial Cancer Center for their loving & compassionate care that was given to Scott. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during a visitation period on Friday Oct. 13, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Interment will take place on Saturday Oct. 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hazardville Cemetery (Please meet at the cemetery).
