Sophie (Agrapides) Goss, 84, of Enfield, beloved wife for 65 years of Everett Goss, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at home. Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, January 10, 1924, the daughter of the late Christopher and Stella (Kosadinous) Agrapides, Sophie was a life long resident of Enfield. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Town of Enfield Police Dept. in the Records Division. Sophie was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her leisure time Sophie enjoyed playing bingo and visits to the Connecticut Casinos. Besides her husband Everett, Sophie is survived by her children; Rev. Dr. Robert Goss & Rev. Joseph Shore of Sun Valley, CA, Deborah Rothenburg and her husband Peter of Barefoot Bay, FL, Karen Giguere and her husband Roger of Enfield, her daughter-in-law Susan Goss and her husband Paul Benis, 5 grandchildren; Carolyn, Daniel, Kimberly, Nicholas, and Timothy and 1 great grandchild; Connor. She also leaves her sister Constance Ragion and two special nephews, Ronald and David Ragion. She was predeceased by her son William Goss and her brother Dennis Agrapides. A funeral procession will form 9 am Wednesday, from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield to St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St. for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Sophie's life. Interment will be in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Agawam, MA. Memorial Donations may be made to Home & Community Health Services Hospice Program, Inc. P. O. Box 1199 Enfield, CT 06083-1199. Calling hours are Tuesday December 30, 2008 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm.
