Sister Mary Raymond Rutkowski, 86, died Wednesday May 4, 2005 at Holy Family In, Enfield. Sister was a member of the Felician Sisters for 68 years. Born in Turner Falls, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Blanche (Kazmierczak) Rutkowski. As a member of St. Stanislaus Parish, New York, NY she entered and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Lodi, NJ.<br><br>In 1937 she was accepted as a postulant into the Felician Congregation in Lodi. In 1945 she professed final vows. Sister Raymond received a BS in Education from St. Joseph College, West Hartford, CT and her MS in Education from Fordham University, Bronx, NY. Sister served as a principal and teacher in schools staffed by Felician Sisters in the Middle Atlantic and New England states. Sister Raymond also served the community as a convent superior. <br> She is survived by two sisters: Sister Mary Vincent of the Felician Sisters and Mrs. Regina Cody of Warwick, NY.<br><br>Calling hours at Our Lady of the Angels Convent, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield, CT will take place Thursday May 5 from 2 to 4:30 pm. Transportation of Sister's body to the Convent Chapel will take place at 4:30 pm, followed by Evening Prayer. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:30 am, on Friday, May 6 at Our Lady of the Angles Chapel, Enfield, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the Felician Sister's Retirement Fund, 1315 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
