Stanley "Doc" Iwanicki

Stanley Paul (Doc) Iwanicki 91 entered into eternal peace on Friday May 21, 2010 at the Suffield House and was reunited with his beloved wife Amelia who predeceased him in 2000 and daughter Karen Garon who predeceased him in 1988.Stanley was born in Ansonia the son of the late John and Teofila Iwanicki. Stanley affectionately known as Doc to family and friends grew up in Manchester and resided in Enfield most of his life. He was formerly employed by Hamilton Standard for forty years and retired in 1980. He was a faithful communicant and member of St. Adalbert’s Church in Enfield. He enjoyed bowling, pool, golf, fishing, watching baseball, and polish music, but the most important part of his life was his family. Stanley is survived by his beloved family a daughter and son in-law Joan and Ned Eliason of Charlotte N.C., three grandchildren Todd Garon and his wife Kim of Vernon, Renee Sandone and her husband Steven of Windsor Locks, Jill Hoyt and her husband Brad of Suffield, also two great grandchildren Adam and Nathan Sandone. Stanley was predeceased by a brother John Gvensky. Stanley’s family would like to thank the staff at the Suffield House for the wonderful care given Stanley. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Adalbert’s Church burial will be in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery . Stanley’s family will receive relatives and friends at Browne Memorial Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Adalbert’s Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield or to The Suffield House recreation fund 1 Canal Rd. Suffield Ct. 06078. or Vitas Innovative Hospice Care 255 Pitkin St East Hartford Ct 06108.
