Stella Cosgrove

Stephanie “Stella” Cosgrove, 96 of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Residence. She was the loving wife of the late John M. Cosgrove. Stella, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Trzeciak) Dusza, was born in the Thompsonville Section of Enfield February 4, 1917 and remained a lifelong resident of Enfield. She was employed as seamstress at Forbes and Wallace Department Store, Springfield MA and later in food service at Bay Path College, Longmeadow MA until her retirement in 1979. She was an ardent reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, playing bingo with her fellow residents at St. Joe’s and spending time with her loving family. Stella is survived by her son Michael Cosgrove and his wife Cynthia of Warwick, RI, grandsons Daniel Cosgrove and wife Hayley of Cumberland, RI and Bryan Cosgrove of Morgantown, WV, along with her cherished great grandson Broden of Cumberland, RI. Also surviving is her sister Michaline Dymon and husband Edward of Vernon, CT and several devoted nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Monday (April 1, 2013) from 5 to 8 p.m. at St, Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Chapel / Little Sisters of the Poor, Tuesday (April 2, 2013) at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stella’s name to St. Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
