Stella (Dojka) Moskal

Stella D.(Dojka) Moskal, of Enfield, entered peacefully into eternal life at the age of 95 on Monday September 19, 2011, in Enfield. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Moskal and daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Wontroba) Dojka. Stella was born on March 26, 1916 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and was a lifelong resident. Prior to retiring as a Group Leader in 1981 Stella was employed for 30 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and worked for 25 years before that for Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. in Thompsonville. A faithful and devout catholic Stella was a lifelong parishioner of St. Adalbert Church. She had a passion for sewing and was a very talented seamstress, enjoyed knitting, traveling, trips to the casinos and playing bingo. Besides her loving husband, Edward of 63 years she is also survived by her sister Jennie Porowski, her very special nephew Daniel Porowski and her sister-in-law Matilda Dojka all of Longmeadow, MA. Stella was predeceased by three brothers Frank, Stanley and Theodore Dojka and a sister Nellie Matuck. Family and friends will gather during calling hours on Thursday (September 22, 2011) from 9 to 10:30 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated for Stella at 11:00 am in St. Adalbert Church 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Burial will then take place in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery. Memorial donations in Stella’s memory may be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
