Stephenie “Stevie” Jill Bontempo, 30, of Longmeadow, MA and Enfield, CT, passed from her earthly journey on Sunday April 3, 2016. She was born on March 31, 1986 in N. Miami Beach, FL. Stephenie was a graduate of Longmeadow H.S. Class of 2004. After earning her LPN she was most recently employed at Soldier’s Home Holyoke and Heritage Hall, Agawam, MA. She is survived by her parents Richard Bontempo, II and Sandra (Howard) Syniec & husband Frederick, two brothers Jeffrey Plotkin of Amherst and Richard Bontempo, III of Longmeadow, her maternal grandparents Donald & Vera Howard, aunts and uncles, Cheryl Howard, Donald & Karen Howard, Emily Bontempo, Karen Baker and Lisa Gentile, cousins Donnie, Kimberly and Kenny Howard, Mark and David Gentile, a her little niece Ava, and extended family members, a very special friend Lisa Ditmar, as well as many friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Richard N. Bontempo and Jane H. Bontempo Baker and great grandmother Lena D. Bontempo. A visitation period will be held on Saturday April 9 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT followed a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 pm in St. Mary‘s Church 519 Longmeadow St. Longmeadow, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Stephenie’s memory may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104.
