Sylvia (Cooley) Noble
Sylvia M. Noble, 74, of Suffield, entered into eternal life on Friday (3/19/2010) at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Walter and Corinne (O’Coin) Cooley born on September 10, 1935 in Manchester, CT Sylvia attended St. James School, Manchester and was a graduate of Windham High School, she had resided in Suffield for the past 44 years and in Manchester & Hartford before that. Sylvia was employed by Shop-Rite for over 20 years and also worked for Dairy Mart and Stop and Shop prior to retiring. She enjoyed cooking especially spaghetti and meatballs and was a fan of Elvis Presley, Al Martino, NASCAR racing and Disney, but most of all her family was her number one priority. Sylvia was the beloved wife of 43 years to Elwyn J. Noble, the loving mother to Deby Ragno and husband Charlie of Enfield, Roy Moyer and wife Holly of Enfield and Karen Miskin and husband Steven of Suffield, beloved grandmother to Angela Ragno of FL, Charlie Ragno III of Enfield, Amanda Moyer, Jason Moyer both of Enfield, Krystal & Tom Fox of Agawam, MA and Kelly Miskin of Suffield and great grandmother to Nathan & Allison Fox and was looking forward to another great grandchild in April. She is survived by a sister Beatrice DeGarmo of Coventry also many nieces, nephews, a cousin, Raymond O’Coin, her God-Children; Kelly Dang, Kenny, David & Joey Cook and the extended family of Marion Cook and all the Cook children, along with many friends, co-workers and customers. She was predeceased by 2 brothers James & Walter and 3 sisters Betty, Anne & Joan. Her family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr.’s S. Bilgrami, J. Esteban and B. Lahiri at St. Francis Hospital, the VNA and Parkway Pavilion for the compassionate care and support given to Sylvia. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Tuesday (3/23/10) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (3/24/10) at 11:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels followed by interment in the Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.
