Teresa Graczewski

Teresa A. (Annis) Graczewski, 87, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Sunday Feb. 5, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Residence/Little Sisters of the Poor in Enfield. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Steven E. Graczewski. Teresa was born on July 21, 1929 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield to the late Walter and Victoria (Hydack) Anniskiewicz. She was a life-long resident of Enfield and a graduate of Enfield High School. During her career as a secretary, prior to retiring she was employed with the State of CT, Department of Corrections, and before that with the Enfield Board of Education at JFK Middle School. In her retirement she worked part-time at the Felician Sisters Convent Office. In her leisure time Teresa enjoyed crocheting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and was a member of St. Bernard Church, Enfield. Teresa is survived by her two loving sons; Steven P. Graczewski & his wife Corinne of Stuart, FL, and Robert Graczewski & his wife Annette of Brewster, MA., her five beloved grandchildren; Kathleen Graczewski & Kenneth Basdekis, Carolyn Oliver & husband Preston, Steven H. Graczewski & wife Kady, Leigh Anne Litz & husband Scott and Jean Marie Jeffers & husband Professor James Jeffers, her great-grandchildren; Hannah & Gabriella Litz, Jack Jeffers and Knox Oliver, a brother-in-law Edward Graczewski & wife Delores, sisters-in-law; Emily Annis, Sophie Pabis and Stacia Lagel, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph J. Annis. Relatives and friends may gather with her family during calling hours on Friday Feb. 10, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Feb. 11, with the funeral procession forming at 9:00 am to St. Bernard Church, Enfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor 1365 Enfield St. Enfield, CT 06082.
