Thaddeus J. Soltys 80 entered into peace on Friday January 23, 2009 at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield Ma. He was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kedzior) Soltys and resided here all his life. He was a graduate of Enfield High School class of 1946. Thaddeus served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII in the occupation of
Japan. He was a graduate of The University of Connecticut in 1953. Thaddeus was formerly employed by C.F. Church company in Monson MA and later by The Institute of Living in Hartford CT. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Helen (Melnyck) Soltys, he also leaves his loving family two sons Thaddeus Soltys II , and John Soltys. , also his daughter and son in-law Susan and Michael Mannette. Thaddeus also leaves his beloved grandchildren Haley and Timothy Soltys and Allison and Olivia Mannette. A Funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd Enfield followed by burial with military honors in Holy Cross Cemetery Enfield .
