Theresa E. (Gaudet) Berube, 86 of Enfield died peacefully on Sunday (Aug. 10, 2008) surrounded by her family. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Berube in 1970. She was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield on Dec. 16, 1921, daughter of the late Timothy and Lucy (Landry) Gaudet. Theresa was a graduate of Enfield High School and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1940. She worked at Wesson Memorial Hospital and also for Dr. Allan and Dr. Haddad in Springfield, MA for many years. Theresa is survived by her sister, Lucy Gaudet of Enfield, her nieces, Joyce Noll, Joan Pare', Susan Neville all of Enfield, Gay Corn of TN, Judy of AZ and her nephew, Gary Gaudet of CA, many grandnieces and grandnephews also her special friends, Rose Manzone, Jeanne Kukulka along with many others.
Theresa's family would like to thank Dr. Darren O'Neill for the caring compassion and special attention given to Theresa, to her dear friend and caregiver, Irene Ganner and to Alice and Claire for her last days of care.
She was also predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Ernest and a sister, Lorraine " Rene" Charette.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Theresa's life will be held on Thursday (Aug. 14, 2008) at 10:30 am in St. Patrick's Church, followed by interment in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery in Enfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to North Central Hospice 8 Keynote Dr. Vernon, CT 06066 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
