Thomas G. Troughton, 73, of Enfield entered into eternal rest on Wed. May 24, 2006 at his home. Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (Foley) Troughton in 1990. He was born Aug. 23, 1932 in Hartford, CT son of the late Thomas and Julia (Wiess) Troughton and resided in Enfield most of his life. Thomas served his country honorably with the US Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement years ago he was employed as a truck driver for many years with different trucking companies and was a former member of the truckers union.
He is survived by a son, Thomas N. Troughton and a daughter, Nancy M. Troughton both of Enfield, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Jacqueline E. Kosiba of Torrington and a niece. Besides his parents and wife, Kathleen he was predeceased by 2 sons, William J. (2000) and Ted T. (2004) Troughton. His family will receive friends on Friday May 26, 2006 from 7 to 9pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield. Interment will be at the convenience of his family.
