Vincent Sferrazza

Vincent J. Sferrazza, 89, entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday (June 13, 2012). Vincent was the beloved husband of 57 years to Anna (Greco) Sferrazza. He was born in Italy on May 7, 1923 the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Vella) Sferrazza and came to America when he was 1 year old, resided in Enfield most of his life and in Seminole, FL during the winter months. Vincent graduated from Enfield H. S. in 1942 and also from the Shoe Fitting Institute for Practipedic. He was the owner of Vincent’s Stride Rite Shoes and Clothing Store for over 50 years. He was a member of Northern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, the Jaycees and Knights of Columbus Council 50, Enfield, Grassmere Country Club and a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church. He was a loving husband, father and “comedian”. Besides Anna, he is also survived by his five beloved children; two sons, Joseph and wife Colleen of Enfield, David and partner Job Stanley of Seminole, FL, three daughters, Lynn Sferrazza of Suffield, Sandy Sferrazza and Laura Sferrazza both of Seminole, FL, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Philip and Marsha Greco of Holyoke, MA, a special niece Beth Greco along with several other nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews. He also leaves his 3 favorite grand dogs, Charlie, Maury and Maggie May. Vincent was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Sferrazza. Relatives and friends may gather with his family during calling hours on Sunday (June 17, 2012) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Funeral services will be held on Monday (June 18, 2012) with the procession forming at the funeral home for 9:30 a.m. to St. Bernard’s Church, Enfield for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Memorial donations in Vincent’s name may be made to St. Bernard’s Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield, CT 06082.
