WALTER W. WOSKO, Sr. 79 of Enfield entered into Eternal Life on Tues. March 22, 2005 at his home peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Walter was the beloved husband of 55 years to Frances (Sutula) Wosko. He was born on Aug. 19, 1925 in Enfield and was a lifelong resident Walter was the son of the late Albert & Josephine (Dudziak) Wosko. He served his country honorably with the US Navy on the USS Pinkney during WWII. Prior to his retirement in 1983 Walter was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft East Hartford for 35 years. A master builder of radio controlled planes he was a member of the Northern CT radio control club (NCRCC) and International Model Association (IMA), Walter was an avid Red Sox's and UCONN Huskies fan and was a member of St. Adalbert's Church.
Besides his wife Frances, Walter is survived by his loving family, two sons and daughters in law, Walter & Dianne Wosko, Jr. of West Suffield and Thomas & Susan Wosko, Sr. of Somers, his three beloved grandchildren, Walter Wosko, III and his wife, Suzanne, Thomas Wosko, Jr. and Alison Wosko and a great grandson, Zachary Wosko. He is also survived by two sisters in law, Agnes Wosko of Enfield and Barbara Sutula of Suffield along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edmund Wosko in 2002.
Funeral services in celebration of Walter's life will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2005 at 9am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Adalbert's Church. Interment with military honors will take place in St. Adalbert's Cemetery. His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday March 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Browne Funeral Chapels. Memorial donations in his memory maybe made to the Leukemia Society CT Chapter 300 Research Parkway Ste.310 Meriden, CT 06450 or to the Home & Community Health Services Hospice Program P.O. 1199 Enfield, CT 06083-1199.
