William Salisbury, Sr.

William J. Salisbury, Sr., beloved husband of Virginia (McWhirter) Salisbury, passed from this life, September 25, 2010. A lifelong resident of Enfield, William was born April 11, 1926, son of the late Albert and Josephine (Stone) Salisbury. A veteran of WWII, he served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Marine, Corp. Prior to his retirement, William was employed with DeBell and Richardson and then Pratt Whitney. Besides his wife, William is survived by his son, William J. Salisbury, Jr. of Enfield, grandchildren, Jessica and Jo-Anne Hildebrand, great grandchildren, Isiah & Angelina and a brother Albert Salisbury. He was predeceased by six siblings and his daughter-in-law Deborah Hildebrand. William’s family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, CT. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Patrick King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
