Albert Rizzuto

Albert S. Rizzuto, Jr., 79, of East Hartford, loving husband of Mary (Hickey) Rizzuto, passed away Tuesday June 9, 2015 at Hartford Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Albert S. and Adeline Rizzuto. Albert was a graduate of the first class of Windsor High School and then enlisted in the US Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a Production Manager for American Linen Supply Co for 42 years. Albert loved golfing, bowling, trips to Aruba and riding the waves at the beach. His favorite pastime was a good game of solitaire and a day at the casino. Albert was a season ticket holder for the Hartford Whalers from beginning to end. He was an immensely loving, caring, loyal man who adored his family. He was the cornerstone of the Rizzuto clan. His grandchildren made his life complete, “Poppy” as he was affectionately called. Besides his wife Mary, Albert leaves his sons, Douglas J, and wife Cara of Southington, Albert and wife Diane of Suffield, two daughters, Donna Ripley of Windsor Locks, and Rhonda Barber of Windsor. Albert also leaves seven grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Grant, Jackson and Olivia, Katarina, Desiree, two great-grandchildren, a brother Philip, a sister Ann Lachance as well as three sisters-in laws, 3 brother in laws and several nieces and nephews. You’ll be missed Pop. We all loved you very much. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Sunday June 14, 2015 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave, Glastonbury.
