Edmund A. Tomczuk, 90, of South Windsor, formerly of Manchester, beloved husband of Joan (Martin) Tomczuk, peacefully passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 in New Britain. Ed was born February 18, 1925 in Meriden and lived most of his life in Manchester. Prior to his retirement, Ed owned and operated Ed’s Sign Company for many years. He was a member of the VFW, Post 2046in Manchester and The Manchester Country Club. In addition to his wife Joan, he leaves his daughter Sandra (Tomczuk) Young, his son, Kenneth Tomczuk and wife, Joan, step children; Kim Marques, Ken Corneau, Glen Corneau and Chris Corneau, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Ed’s life will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the funeral mass from 8:30am to 9:30am at The Farley Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, CT.
