Joyce Jordan

Joyce Marie (Wagner) Jordan, 64, of Glastonbury, beloved mother of Gregory Jordan of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. Joyce was born, July 13, 1950, and raised in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late John Adam and Statia (Sarantopoulos) Wagner. She resided in Glastonbury for the past 40 years, and was employed for many years for the Glastonbury Board of Education. She enjoyed photography, needlepoint, and most of all her family. Along with her son Gregory, Joyce will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her extended family; a nephew, Justin Wagner of East Hampton; four grand nephews, Josh, Drew, Evan, and Caleb, all of East Hampton; an uncle, Albert of Venice, FL. In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brother John Wagner Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Joyce’s life will be held Wednesday, August 20 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Interment will follow in the Mass in Holy Cross Cemetery 17 Wickham Rd. at the corner of Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Joyce requested in lieu of flowers and that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1463 Highland Avenue, Cheshire, CT 06410-1216.
