Harriette Frink Gifford Former Goshen Fair Director GOSHEN - Harriette Frink Gifford, 85, of 64 Old Middle Street, widow of Robert Rynex Gifford, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at her home after a brief illness. Harriette was born in Great Barrington, MA May 4, 1927, daughter of the late Harry and Edna Frink and sister of the late E. Louise Frink. Harriette attended Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She was employed by the Town of Goshen in several positions, including town assessor for a number of years. Harriette was an active member of The Goshen Agricultural Society serving as chair of the cattle committee, treasurer, and Director for 20 years. In addition, she was a 4-H leader for many years and always took an active interest in agricultural events. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Torrington. Harriette is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Gifford of Goshen, CT, Judith Gifford and her partner, Robert Fry, of Kennedyville, MD, and Barbara Hubbard and her husband, Gene; and granddaughter, Mallory Hubbard of Torrington, CT. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the First Congregational Church, 835 Riverside Avenue, Torrington.
