Carol (Nee Holbrook) Baldi A True Lady Trailblazer LITCHFIELD - Carol Baldi passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Mrs. Baldi started working on Wall Street in the 1950’s, a time when it was almost unheard for women to work there. Carol started at the bottom as a trainee. She rapidly climbed the professional ladder and became a portfolio manager and investment analyst and then vice president of the U.S. Trust. After some 20 years, Carol set up her own investment company, Carol H. Baldi, Inc. which she managed until her retirement in 2012. During her career, Carol served on many boards; United Mutual, YWCA of the USA and Mitsubishi Trust. She also served as President of the Investment Committee of the YWCA retirement Fund. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Paul. Calling Hours are private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 12:00 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South St., Litchfield, CT. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
